From the ancestral lands of Yorubaland to the farthest corners of the global diaspora, the heartbeat of our nation is pounding with one unified rhythm: The One Million Yoruba Freedom March.

But hearing the call is only the first step. Answering the call is where history is made.

Following the solemn mandate of our inauguration, His Excellency, Mobolaji Olawale Akinola Omokore, Provisional President of the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y.), has issued a strict and urgent directive to all citizens. When the final date is announced, there must be no hesitation.

The Mandate: No Hesitation, Total Participation

This is not a day for spectators; it is a day for active participants. Every able-bodied Indigenous Yoruba man and woman, both at home and in the diaspora, must prepare to step out in massive numbers.

Under the leadership of President Omokore, we are marching to peacefully express our sovereignty, occupy our National Secretariat, and resume our full administrative duties as a self-determined, free people. To achieve this, we must show the world the sheer, undeniable strength of our unity. When the order is given, you must drop whatever you are doing and join the march. Your physical presence is the ultimate proof of our nationhood.

Who Must March: The Backbone of the Republic

If you are physically able, you are needed on the streets. We are calling upon:

• The Youth and Young Adults: You are the energy and the future of this Republic. Your presence is mandatory.
• Working Professionals and Business Owners: Close your shops and offices for the day. Your economic power is strong, but your civic duty is stronger.
• Students and Academics: The campuses must be empty. Join your peers in this historic civic action.
• The Global Diaspora: For our brothers and sisters outside the ancestral homeland, you must organize and march to your designated local solidarity hubs, showing the world that the Yoruba nation is united across all borders.

Who Must Stay Home: Protecting Our Most Vulnerable

While this march requires the physical strength of our able-bodied citizens, the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba is a nation that deeply respects and protects its vulnerable. We are marching for them, so they do not need to march on the streets.

The following groups are strictly exempted from the physical march and must remain in the comfort and safety of their homes:

1. Our Revered Elders: Our fathers and mothers who have guided us for decades. Your blessings and prayers from home are the spiritual fuel for this march. We will not expose you to the physical strain of the streets.
2. The Very Young (Children): Our children are the reason we are building this Republic. They must be kept safe at home or in supervised, secure environments away from the crowds.
3. Nursing Mothers: The health and safety of our mothers and their infants are paramount. You are exempted from the physical march.
4. Persons with Disabilities: Our differently-abled citizens are highly valued members of our society. We will not subject you to the logistical challenges of the march. The Republic is building a future where you are fully integrated and cared for, but for this specific event, your safety at home is our priority.

The Destination: The National Secretariat

Our objective is clear, focused, and peaceful. We are not marching aimlessly. Everyone participating in the march within the ancestral homeland must converge on the National Secretariat.

We are going there to peacefully occupy the space, to show our readiness, and to formally resume our duties as the governing body of the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba. We will walk with discipline, we will walk with peace, and we will walk with absolute resolve.
